We are delighted to announce that the Oakland Foundation has generously awarded us a grant of £3,000, which has had a significant impact on our May half term provision, in 2024. This substantial support has enabled us to subsidise 120 places for children from low-income families, ensuring that financial barriers did not prevent any child from participating in fun, engaging and unique activities during the half term period.
The grant from the Oakland Foundation has been instrumental in enhancing the experiences of these children during the school half term.
Our programme, which focuses on providing enriching and educational activities, has allowed children to engage in various creative, sports, and learning opportunities. The presence of these subsidised places meant that children who might otherwise have missed out were able to join in, fostering a sense of inclusion and community.
Parents and guardians have expressed their heartfelt gratitude, highlighting how this support has not only alleviated financial stress but also brought joy and enrichment to their children’s holiday period.
We extend our deepest thanks to The Oakland Foundation for their incredible generosity and commitment to supporting our community.
Their support has made a significant difference in the lives of many families, reinforcing the Foundation’s dedication to empowering children and enhancing their well-being.
As we look forward to future programmes, we remain committed to providing accessible and valuable opportunities for all children.
Thank you, The Oakland Foundation, for making a difference in our community
