February Half Term Fun with PAL Fitness Education!

What a fantastic February Half Term it’s been! We’ve had a blast across all three of our camp locations, welcoming an average of 120 children daily and over 500 throughout the entire five days. We’re incredibly proud to have supported 25% of these children with SEN support (levels 1-2), providing much-needed respite for parents and inclusive activities for everyone.

A whirlwind of activities!

Our action-packed week included a huge trip to Worcester Tenpin Bowling for 163 lucky children! We also enjoyed a wide range of engaging activities thanks to some amazing providers:

  • Gamba Drumming: Nick led a fun and educational recycling session, teaching kids how to make instruments and create music from recycled materials.
  • Handcrafted Jewellery by Jo: Creative art and jewellery making sessions allowed children to express their artistic sides.
  • Self Defence: Phil Whitehead from Simple Street Defence taught valuable self-defence skills at Pershore Leisure Centre, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Kick Boxing: Alex Davis led energetic kickboxing sessions at Abbey Park School Pershore, focusing on basic fitness and skill development.
  • Forest School: Shelly from Nature Makers inspired creativity with natural materials, creating beautiful art and designs.
  • Rainbow Rave: Our fun-filled disco party with professional lighting and music was a brand new and exciting experience for everyone.
  • Cookery Sessions: Our own talented staff provided hands-on cookery sessions, teaching valuable life skills and encouraging kids to try new foods and ingredients in a fun “Bake Off” style.
  • Zumba, Singing, and Dancing: The ever-popular EVE led energetic Zumba sessions, including favorites from The Greatest Showman.
  • Gaming Design: Our in-house gaming designer helped children create their own games and characters, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills.

And that’s not all!

Our talented staff also ran a variety of other activities, including:

  • Sports sessions catering to all abilities.
  • Arts and crafts, including t-shirt design, pottery, tote bag decorating, and coloring, promoting personal development.
  • Cake and pizza decorating, providing delicious treats and creative opportunities.

Children also enjoyed plenty of free time to make new friends, relax with films and books (supervised by our staff), and participate in engaging conversations. Soft play sessions at Pershore & Evesham Leisure Centre were a huge hit, and we even welcomed new student staff members who shared their skills in team building, sports, and independence. Special Thanks

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Pershore/Evesham/Droitwich Leisure Centres for their facilities and for accommodating our daily swim sessions for children aged 8 and over. These sessions provided a fantastic life experience for everyone. We also visited Woodland View Care Home in Droitwich with 10 children for a heartwarming intergenerational arts and crafts session themed around love and healthy hearts.

SEN Camps: Inclusive Fun for Everyone

Our SEN camps offered eight different activities for children of all levels (1-4) and their families, including bowling, soft play, splash sessions, dance, arts and crafts, football camps with Evesham United Disability (thanks to Alex and the team), adapted bikes, and trampolining at FMA Evesham. These sessions are all about creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where children can enjoy themselves and parents can network and share support. Stay tuned for more information on upcoming parent support and networking opportunities.
