Introducing the PAL Mini Bus: 500-Mile July Challenge!
This July, we’e not just aiming for 100 miles in one go; we’re challenging our entire community to help us collectively cover 500 miles throughout the month of July! This is your chance to get active, have fun, and contribute to a life-changing cause, all on your own terms.
Here’s how you can join the 500-Mile July Challenge:
- Hit the Road: Cycle outdoors on your road bike, logging every mile.
- Spin at Home: Jump on your stationary bike in the gym or at home. Every pedal stroke counts!
- Send Us Your Miles: Simply track your cycling mileage throughout July and send your total to us via the form below. We’ll be adding everyone’s contributions to a grand total, aiming for that fantastic 500-mile mark!
This is a fantastic opportunity to set a personal challenge for yourself. Can you commit to 10 miles? 50 miles? Or even an ambitious 100 miles this month? Get your family, friends, or even work colleagues involved!
Why Do We Need a Minibus? Especially One with Adapted Access?
This isn’t just about convenience; it’s about access, independence, and opportunity.
Currently, transport can be a significant barrier for many of the incredible children we support. Imagine the logistical nightmare, or even the impossibility, of attending crucial programs, appointments, or simply enjoying enriching activities when standard transport isn’t suitable or available. Without a dedicated, accessible vehicle, families often face immense challenges getting their children where they need to be.
Our wheelchair-accessible mini bus will change that! It will break down these barriers, providing safe, reliable, and comfortable transport tailored to the unique needs of the children, ensuring they can participate fully in our programs and access the wider community.
Our Ambitious but Achievable Goal: £25,000
We’re aiming high because the need is great. Our goal is to raise £25,000. This ambitious but achievable target will cover:
- The cost of the mini bus itself
Essential insurance
Crucial wheelchair adaptations - And running costs for the first year, ensuring it’s ready to serve our families immediately.
