The 100-Mile Cycle Challenge Relay – Our Official Launch Event!

To celebrate the launch of our appeal and give a massive kick-start to our 500-mile target, we’re holding a special event!

 

On Saturday, July 12th, 2025, from 9 AM to 5 PM, join us at Evesham Leisure Centre for our inaugural 100-Mile Cycle Challenge!

 

This will be a dynamic 8-hour continuous relay, where cyclists will team up to collectively cover an incredible 100 miles. We’re inviting individuals, families, friends, and local businesses to sign up for 30-minute cycling slots and contribute to our grand total. As one rider finishes their 30-minute segment, the next rider immediately jumps on, ensuring constant cycling and a thrilling race against the clock (and the miles!).

Why Do We Need a Minibus? Especially One with Adapted Access?

This isn’t just about convenience; it’ about access, independence, and opportunity for the incredible children we support.

 
Currently, transport can be a significant barrier for many children with special educational needs. Imagine the logistical nightmare, or even the impossibility, of attending crucial programs, appointments, or simply enjoying enriching activities when standard transport isn’t suitable or available. For families in Evesham and Pershore, this creates immense daily challenges.
 
Our wheelchair-accessible mini bus will change that! It will break down these barriers, providing safe, reliable, and comfortable transport tailored to the unique needs of the children, ensuring they can participate fully in our programs and access the wider community. It means less stress for families and more opportunities for the children to thrive.

Our Ambitious but Achievable Goal: £25,000
 

We’re aiming high because the need is great. Our goal is to raise £25,000. This ambitious but achievable target will cover:

 

  • The cost of the mini bus itself
  • Essential insurance
  • Crucial wheelchair adaptations
  • And running costs for the first year, ensuring it’s ready to serve our families immediately.
